How to deal with a grumpy website

So today was a little hecktic. I'm completely reformatting the menu (or at least trying to) for tinderboxblog to make it easier for customers to shop. The updates have been good and bad. The good news is that we've definitely been getting more traffic than usual. Today I counted 27 guests on the site at once. Not bad when you consider I was jumping for joy when I saw that 7 were on the site at once. However, when I was dealing with the transfer of the RSS feeds, some of the feeds didn't, well, transfer.

Getting started

Hello there, fellow marketers! In my previous post, I spoke about the research necessary to get familiar with affiliate marketing. Hopefully, by this point, you’ve done your homework and we can move on.

Now, on to outlining and reconfiguring Tinderbox Blog. The first thing I did (and this is something I recommend anyone to do) was download Free Mind. Free Mind is a really great way to organize your thoughts and put them in a way that you, and maybe more importantly, others can understand. Think of it as an electronic whiteboard.

Affiliate Marketing 101

So I’m starting my second week of my internship with J. The purpose of my work with him is to increase my understanding of affiliate and viral marketing as well as develop skills in HTML and search engine optimization. I will be responsible for two websites: the reconstruction and organization of tinderboxblog.com, and the complete rebuilding of mymountaineers.com, a site for WVU fans. Today I began working on outlining and reconfiguring the home landing page for the website tinderboxblog.com. I’ll get to the methodology of this in my next post.
